Teaching Practice (Second Phase) : Weekly Experience (Sixth week)

Day 22 (19/07/2023, Wednesday)
Yet another weak of teaching practice started. Today Dhanya miss and Unni sir visited our school for observation. I had 8L class at fourth and fifth period. Dhanya miss visited my class. She suggested that I have to pay more attention while giving reinforcement. During the lunch break they was a quiz competition in association with National Moon day in the seminar hall. A lot of students participated in the quiz competition. In the final round there was a tight competition between Sreya Gouri of 9L and Sreelekshmi of 9F. Finally Sreelekshmi of 9F won the competition by one point. Jayamol teacher asked us to install a video related to moon day in the laptops of class 8, 9 and 10. During the last interval we visited some of the 8th standard classes for installing the video. 

Day 23 (20/07/2023, Thursday)
Reached the school at 9:15 a.m. I had 8L class at first period and sixth period. During the interval time we visit eighth standard classes and installed the moon day video in the laptops. After the lunch break Yadhu's mother visited me when she came to school to visit his teachers. It was a nice experience to talk to her. During the last interval we handed over the list of classes in which the video was installed to Jayamol teacher.

Day 24 (21/07/2023, Friday)
Today when I entered the school the teachers and students were busy in arranging different models and charts in association with moon day celebration. In the morning I helped the teachers to arrange the charts. Mini teacher asked me to attend 9B class and show them the moon day related video. The video was created by Sreyas of 10 J. It was a beautiful video which encompasses the history of chandrayan. 9C class won first prize in collage making competition and 9B got second prize. At 10:30 a.m. the inauguration of 'Tharapadam Science Club' was done by Sri. Sasi K. Vettoor, Rtd. Scientist, VSSC. The function was presided over by school H.M. Sri. Santhosh sir. Students of UP section prepared a lots of beautiful models of rockets and charts. An exhibition in association with national moon day was conducted in the up building. Today I had 9G class at second period and 4th period, and 8L class at seventh period. In period the lesson healthy food and junk food was taken using inductive thinking model method. This method help to enhance the logical thinking ability of the students. In 7th period the lesson transportation in plants was taken with the help of working model showing the process of transportation in plants.

Day 25 (24/07/2023, Monday) Reached the school at 9:15 a.m. During the second period 1985 - 86 SSLC batch alumini donated desk and benches to 7H. The function was inaugurated by school H.M. Sri Santhosh sir. Some teachers of the U.P. section where the students of 1985 - 86 SSLC batch. Some aluminies shared their experience. I had 8L class during second period. The lesson organs and organ systems were taken using concept attainment model teaching method. Students identified the definition of the concept by themselves with the help of the teacher. Day 26 (25/07/2023, Tuesday) Reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and signed the attendance register. Today Mini teacher was half day leave. So she informed me to attend 9B class during the first period and conducted test paper for them. I conducted the test paper. We serve the mid day meals to the students.
