Teaching Practice (Second Phase) : Weekly Experience (Fourth week)
Day 12 (03/07/2023, Monday)
The day started with the greetings from the students from bus stop itself and it made me much proud of the role I have taken. Today Viji miss visited our school for the observation of physical science classes. Bindu teacher asked me and Deepthi to sort out iron tablets needed for high school classes. After lunch break Bindhu teacher assigned as the duty to give iron tablets to the students. I distributed the tablets to 8G students. At 5th period I visited 9A class for the peer observation of Deepthi teacher's class. The lesson types of teeth was taken with the help of chart showing the diagram of types of teeth. She has a good content knowledge. Reinforcement was not properly given and she has to pay more attention in her blackboard writing.
Day 13 (04/07/2023, Tuesday
Reached the school at 9:30 a.m. and signed the attendance register. It was a rainy day. We served the mid day meals to the students. I had 9G class at 2nd period and 5th period. Lessons structure of teeth and saliva and digestion was taken in the 2nd period and 5th period respectively. Students were cooperative. Classroom was properly managed and effectively conveyed the lessons to the students. But I have to pay more attention in my blackboard writing.
Day 14 (05/07/2023, Wednesday)
July 5 is the day of remembrance of Beypore Sultan, Sri. Vaikom Muhammad Basheer. Today was the first day of plus one classes at school. One of my student in the last year met me at the bus stop and she got admission in plus one in the same school. Today Dhanya teacher visited our school for observation. Students of UP section created beautiful charts in commemoration with Sri. Vaikom Muhammad Basheer. Today I had a 8L class at 2nd period. Dhanya teacher visited my class for observation. It was my innovative lesson plan. The lesson plastids were taken in an innovative way with the help of comic story. Teachers suggested that I have to pay more attention on my gestures and while giving reinforcement. But my contain knowledge was good and I have good voice modulation.
Day 15 (06/07/2023, Thursday)
Today when I reached the school there was a vehicle with the brochure of kitty show. Students were very excited to watch the show. We shifted our room where we sit to a classroom in Ashokam building. Kitty show was organised in the school as an awareness program against drug abuse and over use of mobile phones in collaboration with Kallambalam Lions club and Varkala Lions club. The show was presented by Vinod Kumar and there was a monkey doll. The ill effects of drug abuse and over use of mobile phones were presented in the form of satire. The concept and presentation of the show is so different.
Day 16 (07/07/2023, Friday)
Reason the school at 9:15 a.m. and signed the attendance register. We served the mid day meal to the students. Today I had 9G class at 2nd period and 5th period. The lessons food through oesophagus and gastric juice was taken with the help of ppt. Students were active participants of the class. Blackboard writing was neat and legible. But I have to pay more attention in time management.
