Teaching Practice (Second Phase) : Weekly Experience (Third week)
Day 9 (26/06/2023, Monday)
"People first : stop stigma and discrimination strengthen prevention" was the theme of this years International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. As part of the anti drug day celebration a running campaign was conducted from Chennankode junction to Njekkad post office junction by the SPC, NCC, NSS units, sports persons and teachers of the Government Vocational Higher Secondary School Njekkadu at 8:00 a.m. It was inaugurated by school H.M. Santosh sir. After that a special assembly was conducted for the students. Kallambalam S.H.O. delivered anti drug day message to the students and he took the anti drug day oath to the students. After the assembly at 11 a.m. there was a procession of UP section students as part of the anti drug day.
Day 10 (27/06/2023, Tuesday)
It was raining heavily in the morning. Since it was raining throughout the day we feel difficulty in carrying learning aids to the classes. At 12:30 p.m. we served the mid day meals to the students. Today there were few students who came to mid day meals. At 2pm we served milk to up section students and 8th standard students. I had 9G class at the second period. The lesson Parts of digestive system was effectively conveyed to the students.
Day 11 (30/06/2023, Friday)
Return back to school after 2 days holiday of Eid ul fitr. At first period I visited 9A class for the peer observation of Deepthi teacher's class. The class was good and she had a good content knowledge. But but she has to pay more attention in classroom management. After the lunch break I visited Greesa teacher, Special teacher in the school for the purpose of conducting an interview with her for my project. Greesa teacher was very cooperative and she gave me all the data needed for my project. At 2:30 p.m. we served milk to the students. I had 9G class at 2nd period and 8L class at 7th period. In 9th standard the lesson types of teeth was taken with the help of model.
