Teaching Practice : Weekly Experience (Ninth Week)
DAY 37 ( 30/01/2023 , Monday)
Reached the school at 9:10am and signed the attendance register. Today there was an assembly related to Martyrs’ Day. At morning we decorated the picture of Mahatma Gandhi and lightened the lamps in front of the picture. At first the assembly for 10th standard students was organised. School HM Santhosh Sir addressed the students and delivered a speech about Martyrs’ Day. Martyrs’ Day pledge was recited by Vahitha , student teacher. After the assembly for 10th standard students the assembly for 9th standard students were conducted. HM addressed the students and the Martyrs’ Day pledge was recited by student teacher Sandra. After that the assembly for 8th standard students was conducted and the HM addressed the students. I recited the Martyrs’ Day pledge to the students. The certificates for the winners in various art competitions were distributed in the assembly. I had 8L class in the 3rd period. I conducted the achievement test. Question papers and answer sheets were distributed to the students and they wrote the test. After the allotted time I collected the answer sheets from the students. At 5th period we collected the books from students for the purpose of school based activity. At 6th period Jyothylekshmi teacher asked us to help the students of 8C class in IT practicals. I and Drisya helped the students in their IT practicals. After 3:30pm we left the school.
DAY 38 ( 31/01/ 2023 , Tuesday)
Reached the
school at 9:10pm and signed the attendance register. Today I collected the
signature of Mini teacher in the lesson plan. I had 9J class at the 3rd
period. The lesson ‘Plant Movements’ were taken with the help of video. Video presentation
of the class was interesting. Students were active participants of the class. At
the 4th period, I visited 8F class for the peer observation of
Nashidha. She had good voice modulation and good content knowledge. But she has
to pay more attention in classroom management. At 12:30pm we served the mid day
meals to the students. At the 5th period I and Nashidha visited Greesa
teacher , special education teacher for the purpose of data collection for my
project. I asked her about Yadhu Krishna who was my case study. Teacher told me
all the details she know about him with great pleasure. She is such a kind
person who works for differently abled children. She also shared some of her
experiences with us. At 6th period , Nashidha collected information
about her case study from Greesa teacher. After 3:30pm we left the schoolschool.
DAY 39 ( 01/02/2023 , Wednesday)
Reached the
school at 9:10am and signed the attendance register. Mini teacher asked me to
attend the 8A class at the 2nd period and 8E class at the 3rd
period. At 1st period I visited 8J class for the peer observation of
Mayookha. Her content knowledge was satisfactory and activities given were
interesting. But she has to pay more attention in classroom management and
sound modulation. At the 2nd
period I taught the ‘Reproductive parts of Flower’ in 8A class. Students were
active participants. At 3rd period I taught ‘Different Modes of
Reproduction and Reproductive parts of Flowers ’ in 8E class. At 4th
period I had 9J class and I conducted a test paper. At 12:30 pm we served the
mid day meals to the students. At fifth period I visited 9D class for the peer
observation of Rejitha. She had a good content knowledge and classroom
management was satisfactory. But she has to pay more attention towards her
voice modulation. In the after noon we handed over the books collected to the
librarian and then we cleaned the library. At 6th period I visited 8D
class for the peer observation of Archana. Her content knowledge was
satisfactory and classroom management was good. But she has to pay more attention
towards her voice modulation. After 3:30pm we left the school.
DAY 40 ( 02/02/2023 , Thursday)
Reached the
school at 9:10am and signed the attendance register. At 3rd period I
visited 8D class for the peer observation of Archana. Her content knowledge was
good and voice modulation was satisfactory. But she has to pay more attention
in her classroom management. At 12:30pm we served the mid day meals to the
students. At 5th period I had 8L class. I conducted a diagnostic
test on the area ‘Endangered Organisms’. After the test I distributed the
corrected answer sheets of the achievement test to the students. Today the
classes ended at 2:30pm because from 3:00pm there was pre modal exam for 10th
standard students. After 3:00pm we left the school.
DAY 41 ( 03/02/2023 , Friday)
Reached the
school at 9:10am and signed the attendance register. At 3rd and 4th
period I had 8L class. At the 3rd period I took the remedial class
on the topic ‘Red Data Book’. With the help of video the topic was once again
taught to the students. At the 4th period the lesson ‘Different
Modes of Reproduction’ was taken with the help of the video. At 12:30pm we
served the mid day meals to the students. I had no classes after the lunch
break. Today the classes ended at 2:30pm because from 3:00pm there was pre
modal exam for the 10th standard students. After 3:00pm we left the
school.
