Teaching Practice : Weekly Experience (Eighth Week)

 

DAY 32 (23/01/2023 , Monday)

Reached the school at 9:15am and signed the attendance register. I collected the signature of Mini teacher in today’s lesson plan. Today Dhanya teacher and Remya teacher visited our school for observation. I had 8L class at the third period. Dhanya teacher observed my class. The lesson ‘Biodiversity Conservation Methods’ was taken with the help of chart. Students were active participants throughout the class. After the class Dhanya miss suggested that my classroom management was good , I had good sound modulation , content knowledge and the class was satisfactory. At 12:30pm we served the mid day meals to the students. Jyothylekshmi teacher asked us to help the 8D students to do their practicals. At the 5th and 6th periods , I and Drisya helped the students in their IT practicals. We taught them how to construct various geometrical figures in Geogebra. After 3:30pm we left the school.

DAY 33  (24/01/2023 , Tuesday)

Reached the school at 9:10am and signed the attendance register. I collected the signature of Mini teacher in today’s lesson plan. I had 9J class at the third period. The lesson ‘Locomotion without skeleton’ was taken with the help of ppt and chart. Students actively participated in all the activities. At 4th period a teacher from High School asked us to attend 9E class and give them Social Science notes. I and Renjitha gave notes to 9E students. At 12:30pm we served the mid day meals to the students. After the lunch break I had no classes. I taught some biology portions to Vishnu of 10th standard. After 3:30pm we left the school.

DAY 34 (25/01/2023 , Wednesday)

Reached the school at 9:10am and signed the attendance register. I collected the signature of Mini teacher in today’s lesson plan. We arranged a Bride to be function to Viji for her engagement. HM also joined the function. We arranged a cake and Viji cut the cake. At 4th period I had 9J class. The lesson ‘Locomotion and Movement’ was taken with the help of chart and ppt. Students were active  throughout the class. At 12:30pm we served the mid day meals to the students. After 3:30pm we left the school.




DAY 35 (26/01/2023 , Thursday)

Today was the 74th Republic Day of our Country. Our school also celebrated Republic Day with dignity and prosperity. Reached the school t 8:30am and signed the attendance register. The NSS , NCC , SPC and JRC cadets of our school assembled around the flag pole. At 8:45am the SPC cadets paraded towards flag pole. At 9:00am school HM Santhosh Sir hosted the National flag and all the cadets , students and teachers saluted the flag. After flag hosting , Santhosh Sir delivered the Republic Day message. Then PTA president and the Principal of the school also addressed the students. After this the JRC cadets performed their drill and some SPC students sang a beautiful patriotic song. At 9:30am the Republic Day programmes ended. It was a nice experience. We were lucky to be a part of the Republic Day celebration at GHSS Njekkad. After 10:00am we left the school.








DAY 36 (27/01/2023 , Friday)

Reached the school at 9:10am and signed the attendance register. I collected the signature of Mini teacher in today’s lesson plan. Mini teacher asked me to  conduct a test paper in 8A class and gave the question paper. I conducted the test paper in 8A class and handed over the answer sheets to Mini teacher. I had 8L class at 3rd and 4th period. The lessons ‘In-situ conservation and Ex-situ conservation’ was taken with the help of the chart. Activities given were interesting. At 12:30pm we served the mid day meals to the students. We decided to conduct a school based activity , collecting books for school library on Monday. At 5th period , we visited classes and informed students to bring books for donating to the school library on Monday. I and Drisya visited all the 9th standard classes and informed the students. We also informed the teachers and asked them to bring books. At 6th period I had 8L class. The lesson ‘Environmental Organisation’ was taken with the help of the chart. Students were active participants of the class. After 3:30pm we left the school.

Day 25 (24/07/2023, Monday) Reached the school at 9:15 a.m. During the second period 1985 - 86 SSLC batch alumini donated desk and benches to 7H. The function was inaugurated by school H.M. Sri Santhosh sir. Some teachers of the U.P. section where the students of 1985 - 86 SSLC batch. Some aluminies shared their experience. I had 8L class during second period. The lesson organs and organ systems were taken using concept attainment model teaching method. Students identified the definition of the concept by themselves with the help of the teacher. Day 26 (25/07/2023, Tuesday) Reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and signed the attendance register. Today Mini teacher was half day leave. So she informed me to attend 9B class during the first period and conducted test paper for them. I conducted the test paper. We serve the mid day meals to the students. Day 28 (31/08/2023, Monday) Today was July 31st, Premchand Divas or Premchand Jayanti. Students from various classes presented the poems of Munshi Premchand. Students beautiful recited the poems. Students also presented speech in association with Premchand Divas. At 12:30 p.m. we serve the mid day meals to the students. During the lunch break two students Niranjan and Kashinath of 8L class visited me and they gave me letter and a chocolate. It was an emotional moment for me.  Day 29 (01/08/2023, Tuesday) Reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and signed the attendance register. During the first interval Yadhu visited me and he shared his content knowledge with me. He has a sound knowledge in all subject. He likes to share his knowledge with all.
