Teaching Practice : Weekly Experience (Fourth Week)

 

DAY 14 (14/11/2022, Monday)

Reached the school at 9:10am and signed the attendance register. Mini teacher was on leave today and she has informed me earlier to take the attendance of 8B class. So I took the attendance of 8B on the first period. Mini teacher has send me questions to conduct test paper on 10L and 10I classes. On second period I conducted test paper on 10I class. Then I collected answer sheets from students and corrected it in the class itself and made the marklist. I had 8L class at the third period. Today was children’s day so I firstly wished the students. The topic ‘Taxonomic Hierarchy’ was taken on the class. I could effectively convey the topic to the students. The activity given via chart was interesting and the students enjoyed it. At 12:30pm we served mid day meal to the students. After the lunch break I checked the note books of 9J students. On the 6th period I went to 10L class to conduct the test paper but the maths teacher was taking the class so I couldn’t conduct the test paper. After 3:30pm we left the school.


DAY 15 (15/11/2022, Tuesday)

Reached the school at 9:10am and signed the attendance register. Then I collected the signature of Mini teacher in today’s lesson plan. Today I had 9J class at 3rd period and 4th period. The topic ‘Excretory Organs’ was taken on the class. One of my students at 9J, Anandabhadra, got first prize in 400metre at sub district level. Today she came to the class with the trophy. We all congratulated her. I wished her to get first prize at revenue district and I felt proud of her. At 12:30pm we served the mid day meal to the students. After the lunch break I had no classes. Today the school ended at 2:10pm. H.M informed us that we can leave the school by 2:30pm. We left the school after 2:30pm.


DAY 16 (16/11/2022, Wednesday)                                                 Reached the school at 9:10am and signed the attendance register. Sangeetha miss visited our school for observation. Since Mini teacher was on leave today, teacher informed me to take attendance of 8B class and attend 8E class on 3rd period, 9K class on 7th period and to conduct test paper on 10L class on 5th period. At first period there was no teacher in 9J class, so when students informed me I took the class. At third period I had 8E class and the students were co -operative. I had 9J class at 4th period. The topic ‘Liver- the waste processing unit’ was taken on the class. I could effectively convey the topic to the students. At 12:30am , served mid day meal to the students. At 5th period I conducted test aper on 10L class. Then I collected answer sheets from the students and corrected it in the class itself and made the mark list. Then distributed the corrected answer sheets to the students. I had 9K class at the last period. The students were interactive and they all are active. After the bell rang, I left the class only after ensuring that all the students left the class. After 3:30pm we left the school.


DAY 17 (17/11/2022, Thursday)

Reached the school at 9:20am and signed the attendance register. I collected the signature of Mini teacher in today’s lesson plan. At first period Mini teacher asked me to assist her to collect student’s opinion about curriculum reform in 8B class. At 4th period there was no teacher in 8H class, so I and Nashidha were asked to attend the class. We asked the students to read the text book and they read it one by one. At 12:30pm we served the mid day meal to the students. At 5th period I had 8L class. The topic ‘Hortus Malabaricus’ was taken in the class. ICT was used to present the topic. Then we were asked to help some students for preparing them to science seminar competition. I helped them to collect information regarding  the topic and for the preparation of questionaire. After 3:30pm we left the school.







DAY 18 (18/11/2022, Friday)                                                               Today was the last day of first spell teaching practice of the first phase. Reached the school at 9:10am and signed the attendance register. I collected the signature of Mini teacher in today’s lesson plan. Deputy H.M Suma teacher informed that the student teachers who had no class in the first period should report in the office. Teacher allotted us the duty to take attendance of the free classes in the first period and handed over the attendance register to us. I got the attendance register of 9J. I went to the class and take the attendance. I had 8L class at the 3rd period. The topic ‘Taxonomic Hierarchy of Plants’ was taken. Students were active throughout the class. At 12:30pm we served the mid day meal to the students. At the interval the students of 9J and 8L visited me and conveyed their love and wishes. It was hard for me to leave the school and I will miss my students very much. Before leaving the school I visited Mini teacher and she wished me good luck. She also said me to contact her during December to get the portions for the teaching practice in January. Mini teacher was a person who supported me throughout my teaching practice. Her support, care and valuable suggestions helped me a lot to improve myself as a teacher during these days. After 3:30pm we left the school temporarily for a short period.

Day 25 (24/07/2023, Monday) Reached the school at 9:15 a.m. During the second period 1985 - 86 SSLC batch alumini donated desk and benches to 7H. The function was inaugurated by school H.M. Sri Santhosh sir. Some teachers of the U.P. section where the students of 1985 - 86 SSLC batch. Some aluminies shared their experience. I had 8L class during second period. The lesson organs and organ systems were taken using concept attainment model teaching method. Students identified the definition of the concept by themselves with the help of the teacher. Day 26 (25/07/2023, Tuesday) Reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and signed the attendance register. Today Mini teacher was half day leave. So she informed me to attend 9B class during the first period and conducted test paper for them. I conducted the test paper. We serve the mid day meals to the students. Teaching Practice (Second Phase) : Weekly Experience (Eighth week)

Day 28 (31/08/2023, Monday) Today was July 31st, Premchand Divas or Premchand Jayanti. Students from various classes presented the poems of Munshi Premchand. Students beautiful recited the poems. Students also presented speech in association with Premchand Divas. At 12:30 p.m. we serve the mid day meals to the students. During the lunch break two students Niranjan and Kashinath of 8L class visited me and they gave me letter and a chocolate. It was an emotional moment for me.  Day 29 (01/08/2023, Tuesday) Reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and signed the attendance register. During the first interval Yadhu visited me and he shared his content knowledge with me. He has a sound knowledge in all subject. He likes to share his knowledge with all.
