Teaching Practice : Weekly Experience (Second week)

 

DAY 5 (31/10/2022, Monday)

Reached school at 9:20am and signed the attendance register. Then I collected the signature of Mini teacher in today’s lesson plan. I had 8L class at the third period. The topic indigenous varieties was taken during the class. The whole class was very interactive. ICT was properly used. Students were so co-operative. At 12:30pm we served mid-day meal to the children. After the lunch break there was a quiz competition conducted by ‘Aksharamuttam’ at the seminar hall and we were assigned the duty to check the answers of the quiz. The quiz programme was very informative and interesting. After 3:30pm we leaved the school.


DAY 6 (01/11/2022, Tuesday)

Today was November 1st ‘Kerala Piravi’. Reached the school at 9:20am and signed the attendance register. After that I collected the signature of Mini teacher in today’s lesson plan. I had 9J class at third period. Viji from mathematics department observed my class for peer observation. Mini teacher also observed my class. Teacher -pupil interaction was maintained throughout the class. Particiation of all students was ensured during all activities. Viji told that my class was good and properly managed. Mini teacher suggested that I had good voice modulation during the class and I had good content knowledge but the presentation on the laptop should make it much more large. The font size of the ppt should be increased. Mini teacher’s words made me more confident. Afterlunch break at 2:00pm “Manushya Changala” associated with Kerala Government’s Anti drug campaign was organised at our school also. The “Manushya Changala” spreads from post office junction to chenangkate students were arranged for it. Around 3000 students from GHSS Njekkad take part in “Manushya Changala”. At 3:00pm anti drug pledge was taken by all of us. After 3:30pm we leaved the school.




DAY 7 (02/11/2022, Wednesday )

Reached school at 9:10am and signed the attendance register. Then I collected signature from Mini teacher in today’s lesson plan. I had 9J class at 4th period. Drishya and Mayookha  visited my class for peer observation. The class was energetic and I could effectively convey the content to the students. After the class Drishya and Mayookha told that my class was good ,my voice modulation was perfect and activities were good but Drishya suggested that I had to pay  my attention more in blackboard writing and I have to improve it. I have no classes at afternoon section so I did some lesson plan works. After 3:30pm we leaved the school.




DAY 8 (03/11/2022, Thursday )

Reached school at 9:10am and signed the attendance register. Then I collected signature from Mini teacher in today’s lesson plan. We had organized an awareness class as part of anti drug campaign at 10:00am in the school seminar hall. The audience of the programme was students of 8th and 9th standard. The school Headmaster Santhosh sir was decided as the chairman of the programme. In his absence the Principal Sajeev sir presided over the function. The programme started with prayer by Nanma of 8E. the whole programme was compared very neatly by student teacher Nashidha and the welcome address was done by student teacher Drishya. After the welcome speech Sajeev sir delivered the presidential address. He included a lot of ill effects of drugs in his speech and conveys all wishes for the class. After presidential address the awareness class began. Awareness class was taken by me. I ensured active participation of all students through out the class. I potrayed some real life incidents to them and at the end of the class we all pledged “Say No to Drugs and Say Yes to Life”. After the class some students shared the feedback of the class. After that the vote of thanks was donr by student teacher Rejitha. The brochure for the programme was prepared by student teacher Viji and the whole programme was reported by student teacher Mayookha and Archana. After the class we collected written feedback from students. By reading it I realized that theclass was very useful for the students and they all enjoined it. I feel very happy by reading all that. At 12 ‘O’ clock we served mid-day meal for the students. After lunch break, I had 8L class at 5th period. I can effectively convey the contents to the students and the students were co-operative. At 7th period I and Viji goes to 8C class for the peer observation of Nashidha’s class. Her class was good. She has good voice modulation and a very good content knowledge. But she has to pay more attention in classroom management. After 3:30pm we leaved the school.
